Former first lady of Cross River State, Onari Duke, plays a very prominent role in the annual Carnival Calabar.
The Calabar Carnival has come a long way. It all started 2004, when the then governor of Cross River State, Mr Donald Duke, had a vision of making his state the hub for tourism and hospitality in Nigeria and in Africa.
Indeed, Cross River State and Calabar have become the pride of Nigeria or Africa for tourism, carnivals, and hospitality.
Mrs. Duke is the coordinator of Bayside Band.
