The embattled governor of Adamawa state, Admiral Murtala Nyako made a surprised appearance at the Council Chambers of the Presidential Villa this morning to attend a meeting of the National Council of State.
Governor Nyako who is facing impeachment proceedings by the state House of Assembly was the cynosure of all eyes as his governor colleagues and cameramen rushed to capture his presence.

Governor Nyako appeared unruffled as he moved round to exchange banters with his colleagues and other presidential aides including the secretary to the government of the Federation, Anyim Pius Anyim.
Members of the National Council of state include former presidents and former Chief Justices of Nigeria, governors of the 36 states of the Federation and Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, the President of the senate and the Speaker of the House of Representatives as well as the Attorney General of the Federation.

This morning’s meeting is being attended by the Chiefs of the Army, Airforce and Navy as well as the Chief of Defence Staff.
It also had in attendance the Inspector General of Police, the Directors General of the Department of State Services and National Intelligence Agency.
