A 27-year-old woman has been allegedly beaten to death by a spiritual healer during a deliverance session to exorcise an evil spirit (a jinn), from her body.
According to Emirates247, the lady reportedly died from severe wounds she sustained during the spiritual deliverance which was masterminded by her father who took her to the healer when to seek help after she was admitted at a psychological hospital.
The police in the Mediterranean port of Alexandria, Egypt, arrested the man after her father reported that he used a stick to beat his daughter, thereby inflicting severe injuries om her.
A police source said: “The father said he believed his daughter was under the grip of a jinn and that was why he brought a healer for her.”
