Joel 2:12-13 NLT “That is why the lord says, “Turn to me now, while there is time. Give me your hearts. Come with fasting, weeping, and mourning. Don’t tear your clothing in your grief, but tear your hearts instead.” Return to the lord your God, for he is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love. He is eager to relent and not punish.”
You’re a child of God, but you know that you’ve compromised and are living in sin, it’s time to repent. You who was once so passionate about the things of God, have been pressured by your peers and your environment to do wrong, you’re now lukewarm and very cold, my dear friend, it’s time to repent!
God is merciful and compassionate, slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love; unwilling to judge or punish you! But that’s only if you turn back to Him in repentance and accept His offer of mercy and grace. If you refuse, then it would be your own fault.
He says, “Turn to me now, while there is time!” Brothers and sisters, dear friends, now is the time to repent, not after you’ve married or have become old! Turn now while there is time! Tomorrow might be too late! Would you rather have to deal with the consequences of your actions? Receive forgiveness today and be made free of the consequences of your past actions. Repent now, while there is time. Now is the time to repent!
