For every promise, there is a time. Some promises are for now, and some are for the future; we should be able to know which is which. Psalm 102:13 says, “You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for the time to favor her, yes, the set time, has come.” There’s a set time.
v>When the time of promise comes, things will begin to happen in order for the promise to be fulfilled; there will be adjustments, because everything will work together to ensure that the promise of God is fulfilled. When it was time for Joseph to be made prime minister, God made Pharaoh dream dreams that only Joseph could interpret; but before the time came, Joseph was forgotten in prison, even though God was with him.
Every promise God made is sure. He never makes promises that He cannot fulfill, or does not intend to fulfill. But we must be patient enough to wait for His perfect time, because God’s promises are inherited through faith and patience. He makes things beautiful in their time.
