1 Corinthians 6:19 ERV “You should know that your body is a temple for the Holy Spirit that you received from God and that lives in you. You don’t own yourselves.”
This topic has always been taught in order that we might abstain from sexual sins. Now, that’s very very important. We should not commit sexual sins; we ought to fear God living in us.
But God did not put His Spirit in us just to keep us from committing sexual sins; even if it’s a challenge for a man, a time should come when it is no longer a problem for him. The Holy Spirit is in us for greater purposes! Romans 8:9 says “But you are not ruled by your sinful selves. You are ruled by the Spirit, if that Spirit of God really lives in you. But whoever does not have the Spirit of Christ does not belong to Christ.”
Romans 8:11 says, “God raised Jesus from death. And if God’s Spirit lives in you, he will also give life to your bodies that die. Yes, God is the one who raised Christ from death, and he will raise you to life through his Spirit living in you.” Hallelujah! Being a temple of the Spirit means that God is always with you, that the divine life of God is at work in you 24/7! It means that you are a package of power, that you belong to God and should not be suffer the same fate as “mere men”! Hallelujah!
