Our understanding of worship is limited. Worship for most of us, is about the kind of songs that we sing, and the way the instrumentalists play. It’s not even about just uttering the right words: no, worship is much more than that!
See, worship is an attitude. Worship is honouring God. Worship is when we debase ourselves in the presence of the Almighty God, and esteem Him high. Worship is humility before God. Worship is when we set aside our importance, ego and achievements and celebrate and adore Him who’s the greatest, the wisest and the most powerful One in the entire universe. During worship, self dies, and it’s all about the greatness and awesomeness of God.
A true worshipper cannot remain insignificant and small, because everytime he worships God elevates him. As he humbles himself before God and adores Him, God continues to uplift him. God is looking for real worshippers because He loves to be worshipped and celebrated. As we worship Him, receiving from Him becomes the easiest thing in the world; we get much more than we even requested for! Worship God.
