The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: do you know what it means? Let me explain it: Psalm 25:14 says that, “The secret of the Lord is with those who fear Him, and He will show them His covenant.” So when a man fears the Lord, that man has qualified himself for divine secrets: that’s the beginning of knowledge that will set him apart from others.
You can now understand how much sin is stealing from us: because, “the fear of the Lord is to hate evil;” “pride and arrogance and the evil way and the perverse mouth I hate,” says wisdom. Proverbs 8:13. A person living contrary to God’s ways cannot receive divine secrets.
Fools despise wisdom and instruction by holding on to their sinful and evil ways. May we always live a holy and righteous life. Amen.
