Two children can grow in the same house, being brought up in the same way, and one will end up good and the other bad. Two people can attend the same church, hear the same messages and one will be hot and the other cold. Two people can attend the same school, and one will be successful and the other unknown.
My dear, what you do with whatever you receive is your personal decision. Much of life is personal; however you end up is your responsibility. The earlier you started taking personal responsibility for how you wish to end up, the better for you. Judas had the best Mentor, Boss, Pastor, Teacher, Master, etc: he was in the same class with Peter and the other apostles, yet he died miserably and achieved nothing significant.
Your relationship with God is personal; your salvation is personal; your destiny is personal; your growth is personal, and your success is also personal. You can be eating the same spiritual food, attending the same church, etc: you may even join others in doing several activities. On the other hand, you may join the unserious set, or those who have embraced lies as truth; one day, here or after death, the outcomes would be glaring for all to see.
“Therefore, my beloved, as you have always obeyed, not as in my presence only, but now much more in my absence, work out your own salvation with fear and trembling.” Philippians 2:12
