Hebrews 10:24 ERV “We should think about each other to see how we can encourage each other to show love and do good works.”
Christianity is a life of love and the church is a group of people, not of one person alone. God designed the church in such a way that makes us dependent on one another. “The eye cannot say to the hand, “I don’t need you!” And the head cannot say to the foot, “I don’t need you!” We will always need each other and it’s very important that we belong to good churches and cells where we are constantly encouraged and strengthened.
The Holy Spirit wants us to have deep love for one another in these last days. That’s the only way some of us would remain standing till the end. The Lord wants us to be proactive in caring for one another: in other words, we are to take steps to ensure that the faith of our brothers and sisters are intact and that they are in good spiritual condition.
Don’t wait until you get to prayer meeting before you pray for others, do that at home first. Don’t wait until you are in the follow up unit before visiting your brethren, do it personally, especially when you know that they aren’t strong in faith. Call to know why they weren’t in church, call to know how they are, how they are faring, how their children are, and so on. Romans 12:10 says we should love each other in a way that makes you feel close like brothers and sisters. That’s what God wants His church to be – a support system.
