Everyone of us has people speaking to us, whether purposefully or not: friends, colleagues, parents, leaders, spouses, etc. Whether you have realized it or not, those words are shaping your life.
Who you listen to determines what happens to you. Esther listened to Mordecai and became queen; Ruth listened to Naomi and got a great husband; Jacob listened to his mom, Rebekah, and got the blessing; Moses listened to Jethro his father-in-law, and became a better leader. The list is endless.
The words of those you are listening to are making you or ruining you. Amnon died because of wrong advice and Rehoboam lost a greater part of his kingdom. If your life is not getting better, consider changing the people you listen to! Listen to people who can tell you the will of God; listen to people who can tell you the uninteresting truth. And listen to anointed people whose words are powerful enough to bless and elevate you. You’re blessed, in Jesus name. Amen.
