[pull_quote_center]”So Lot went out and spoke to his sons-in-law, who had married his daughters, and said, ‘Get up, get out of this place; for the Lord will destroy this city!’ But to his sons-in-law, he seemed to be joking.” Genesis 19:14[/pull_quote_center]
Apostle Peter wrote the following: “It is important for you to understand what will happen in the last days. People will laugh at you. They will live following the evil they want to do. They will say, ‘Jesus promised to come again. Where is he? Our fathers have died, but the world continues the way it has been since it was made.” 2 Peter 3:3-4
History is repeating itself right before our eyes, and the word of God is being fulfilled: just as it happened in the time of Lot; he warned them that the land was going to be destroyed with fire from heaven, but he seemed like a drunken comedian to them; people are laughing again and not heeding the warnings regarding the destruction of this present world which is to happen very soon. Even some Christians don’t believe it! But it doesn’t matter.
This is not just about the destruction of the world, it’s about the salvation of lives. Lot tried to save a few but they rejected salvation. There’s always a way of escape: God first warns, and then He makes it possible for people to escape. Being saved is fantastic, but Jesus said that its those who continue to the end that’ll be saved. We must continue in faith until the very end; don’t get carried away and distracted by the affairs of this life; Jesus is coming very soon and that would be the beginning of the end. It’s not a joke people, it’s true!
