[pull_quote_center]I Corinthians 15:1-2 NKJV “Moreover, brethren, I declare to you the gospel which I preached to you, which also you received and in which you stand, by which also you are saved, if you hold fast that word which I preached to you—unless you believed in vain.”[/pull_quote_center]
There’s so much attack on our faith today, more than ever before; there’s so much falsehood in the world, people are twisting the truth, giving strange interpretations to Scriptures – even within the church – for several reasons. But the gospel cannot be stopped. Truth will always prevail. Hallelujah! But you must be careful not to believe lies; you’ve got a duty to hold on to the truth.
Paul wrote to the Galatians: “I marvel that you are turning away so soon from Him who called you in the grace of Christ, to a different gospel, which is not another; but there are some who trouble you and want to pervert the gospel of Christ. But even if we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel to you than what we have preached to you, let him be accursed. As we have said before, so now I say again, if anyone preaches any other gospel to you than what you have received, let him be accursed.”
What do you really believe? Have you ever taken time to personally study the Scriptures by yourself, in order to be taught by the Holy Spirit? What and what doctrines have you accepted as truth? Are you being taught the truth where you are right now? Could you have believed in a lie because it’s convenient? Ephesians 4:14 says “that we should no longer be children, tossed to and fro and carried about with every wind of doctrine, by the trickery of men, in the cunning craftiness of deceitful plotting.” Brothers and sisters, eternal salvation is only guaranteed by holding on to the truth until the very end.
