The Bible says that none of the members of the Early Church lacked: they didn’t lack, not because God sent manna from heaven, but because those who had lands sold them and gave the money to meet the needs of other brethren. Think about it: they didn’t pray to God to meet their needs, they simply gave!
We pray for things that we are capable of doing for one another: we pray for open doors when we have people among us who can open the doors! We pray for God to send us money meanwhile there are brethren with lots of it!
Who are you helping? Who are you raising up? Whose needs are you meeting? Who are you helping to get in to where you already are? How many brethren have you gotten jobs for with your influential position? How many have you empowered? Whose prayer can you help God answer? It can’t be all about you; it should never be all about you! The Church is one big family and we are to help each other as much as we can.
