Spirit And Life Devotional: Having Only Good Days

Must read

Jeremiah 4:18 ERV “The way you lived and the things you did brought this trouble to you. It is your evil that made your life so hard. Your evil life brought the pain that hurts deep in your heart.”

There’s the law of cause and effect. It states that for every action there is an equal reaction. It’s like saying that you will reap whatever you sow. Whatever is happening in your life right now is a result of what you did and said in the past, and what will happen in the future will be determined by what you’re doing now.

The devil is not your number one problem because he can only operate in your life by permission! That’s why Paul said we should not give him any place in our lives. Our lifestyles, the things we say and do, will bring us either blessings or trouble. David said, “Before I suffered, I did many wrong things. But now I carefully obey everything you say.”

Brothers and sisters, the choice is ours. Are we going to continue living as we please or are we going to start living to please the Lord. The Scriptures say, “If you want to enjoy true life and have only good days, then avoid saying anything hurtful, and never let a lie come out of your mouth. Stop doing what is wrong, and do good. Look for peace, and do all you can to help people live peacefully. The Lord watches over those who do what is right, and he listens to their prayers. But he is against those who do evil.”
