[pull_quote_center]”Forsake foolishness and live, and go in the way of understanding.” Proverbs 9:6[/pull_quote_center]
Everyone was born foolish, but staying foolish is a choice. Everyone was born foolish because the Bible says that foolishness is bound up in the heart of every child, but the rod of correction will drive it far from him (Proverbs 22:15). That’s why we must put away childish things (1 Corinthians 13:11).
A major trait of a fool is the lack of understanding. That’s why you cannot afford to be without understanding. Chase understanding relentlessly. Your passion for understanding is a proof of your wisdom. The more you understand, the sweeter your life will be.
And you must stop acting foolishly! Proverbs 14:17 says, “A quick-tempered man acts foolishly…” And Proverbs 21:20 says, “There is desirable treasure, and oil in the dwelling of the wise, but a foolish man squanders it.” A believer living in sin is also acting foolishly. A believer disregarding the scriptures and living his own way is being foolish. Stop it! Check your life; it’s time to forsake every form of foolishness so that you can enjoy the good life that God has given us. Ephesians 5:15 says, “See then that you walk circumspectly, not as fools but as wise.”
I see you walking in wisdom from today, in Jesus name. Amen.
