You cannot be great if you keep wanting to be like every other person. And you can’t have a great relationship with God and enjoy His great blessings if you are not different from the people of the world. Friendship with the world is enmity with God (James 4:4).
God is looking for men and women who are different. Romans 12:2 says, “And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may prove what is that good and acceptable and perfect will of God.”
To be different, you must first possess a different spirit. In other words, the change must begin from within – your heart, your mindset. Start with a decision to be different: while the rest of the world walks in their own ways, choose to walk in God’s ways; when others doubt God and His word, dare to believe!
God is asking us to be different because He wants to release uncommon blessings to us. 2 Corinthians 6:17-18 says, “Therefore ‘Come out from among them and be separate, says the Lord. Do not touch what is unclean, and I will receive you.’ ‘I will be a Father to you, and you shall be My sons and daughters, says the Lord Almighty.” Amen.
