It seems easy to speak the truth until you have to lose your freedom for daring to speak the truth; truth seems easy until there’s the possibility of losing your job as a result of telling the truth: no wonder not many are willing to tell the truth.
Today, instead of speaking the truth we’d rather pretend not to know what’s going on: the world is full of cowards, even in the church, because many of us have chosen to be silent: speaking the truth is not something for the weak; it requires a degree of courage.
We were not called to please men, we are to please God; we sent commissioned and ordained to be politically correct, we are are to be biblically correct: it’s only the truth that can set men free from the lies and deception of Satan. We must never forget that we are people on assignment; it’s our duty to liberate men and women everywhere with the truth of the gospel. Amen.
