[pull_quote_center]Judges 5:6-7 NKJV “In the days of Shamgar, son of Anath, in the days of Jael, the highways were deserted, and the travelers walked along the byways. Village life ceased, it ceased in Israel, until I, Deborah, arose, arose a mother in Israel.”[/pull_quote_center]
Liberation is “the act of setting someone free from imprisonment, slavery, or oppression; release.” Every child of God has a divine calling to liberate people around him from the captivity of Satan and unpleasant situations.
As Jesus began His ministry, He announced, “The Spirit of the Lord is upon Me, because He has anointed Me to preach the gospel to the poor; He has sent Me to heal the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives and recovery of sight to the blind, to set at liberty those who are oppressed; to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.”
Nothing was working in Israel until Deborah arose: brothers and sisters, God seeks men who are willing to arise in these last days and yield themselves to Him as agents for the liberation of men, cities and nations from the powers of darkness. We have been liberated, and we are walking in liberty now; we have a ministry to the rest of the world who are in bondage to set them free. We must preach deliverance; we must preach salvation; we must wrestle against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of the darkness of this age, against spiritual hosts of wickedness in the heavenly places through prayer; we must bind the strong man, plunder his house and set the captives free!
