Spirit and Life Devotional is a daily publication by Pastor Chinaemerem Ibezim, senior pastor of Able Ministers Chapel, a church based in Calabar, Cross River State.
“I went there because God revealed to me that I should go. While I was there I met privately with those considered to be leaders of the church and shared with them the message I had been preaching to the Gentiles. I wanted to make sure that we were in agreement, for fear that all my efforts had been wasted and I was running the race for nothing.” – Galatians 2:2 NLT
This is one verse that is loaded with many messages. We see a man, Apostle Paul, being led by God. We see him walking in wisdom by meeting privately with the leaders of the church; not publicly. We see him seeking their approval, or concurrence, if you will. We see a man who recognized and subjected himself to divinely established human authority.
Remember that we are talking about the great apostle Paul! Wow! So much to learn from him! He was a humble man.
You know, that’s the true Spirit of God at work. The Spirit of God can never cause disunity among genuine believers. He will never do that. When you see fighting, separation and lack of cooperation, no matter how anointed they are, a contrary spirit is at work in one of the parties, or in all of them.
This message is very important. I’m personally instructed by it.
