We like to say that no one is perfect. We even say confidently that no one can be perfect: but Apostle Paul seemed to think otherwise.
It was so difficult keeping the commandments of God in the Old Testament; but interestingly, two people were said to be blameless: Zechariah and Elizabeth, the parents of John the Baptist. Luke 1:6 says, “And they were both righteous before God, walking in all the commandments and ordinances of the Lord blameless.”
Do we really have genuine excuses in this dispensation of grace? Sin no longer has dominion over us, so should living pure and blameless lives be something that we cannot do? If Zechariah and Elizabeth could do it under the Old Testament we surely can!
Brothers and sisters, we’ve got to take our relationship with God seriously. God’s standard of holiness has not changed. The Bible still contains Hebrews 12:14 which says that without holiness, no one will see the Lord. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration
I am a new creature in Christ, born again by the incorruptible seed. Therefore, it is possible for me to live a pure and blameless life. Sin has no dominion over me; I am walking in the Spirit, I do not fulfill the lusts of the flesh. My life is for the glory of God. Amen.
