“Give your burdens to the Lord, and he will take care of you. He will not permit the godly to slip and fall.” – Psalms 55:22 NLT
When a person is carrying a very heavy burden he is likely to fall because of the weight of the burden. There’s a limit to what a person can handle; the moment that limit is exceeded, the burden becomes unbearable, and the person collapses.
Here we have an offer: God is asking for all our burdens! He’s not asking for the excess, that is, what is beyond our abilities, He’s asking for everything. Meaning that it is possible for us to live without burdens. Wow! I think Apostle Peter said it better: “Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you.” 1 Peter 5:7
It’s now an issue of trust: Do you trust God enough to handover your burdens to Him? It’s also about your willingness to let go of your burdens: you know, some of us really love to worry; when we are not worried about anything, we feel like we are not making progress.
Come on, let God help you. He’s stronger, wiser, more connected, more competent, and more capable than you will ever be. He loves you, He is willing to help, He will not let you fall.
