You see, if you’re always trying to please people; to make them like you; saying and doing things to get them to clap for you; to like your posts; etc, it means that you’re living for men and not for God.
See, when you are living for God and working for Him, people will not always like you. Why? It’s simple: we are living in a world of sinful men! Jesus said that the world would hate us because of Him. The true gospel that we preach is not what they love to hear; the way we live is not how they love to live; so don’t expect to be a celebrity among unbelievers!
If unbelievers are celebrating you, you’ve got to check yourself! If your life is not a challenge to them, check yourself. If they’re so free saying jargons with you, check yourself. If you live like them; hangout with them; dress like them; even hiding your identity as a child of God; check yourself. Jesus said that what is highly esteemed among men, is an abomination before God. He said, “Woe to you when all men speak well of you, For so did their fathers to the false prophets.” Luke 6:26
