[pull_quote_center]“You won’t spend the rest of your lives chasing your own desires, but you will be anxious to do the will of God.” 1 Peter 4:2[/pull_quote_center]
When Jesus came to the world, He said, “Look, I have come to do your will, O God – as it is written about me in the Scriptures.” Hebrews 10:7
We always ask each other, “What do you want to be?” “What’s your purpose?” “What’s your dream?” What’s your vision?” “Where do you want to be in the next five years?” and so on. We need to start asking questions like, “What’s the will of God for your life?” “Have you discovered God’s purpose for your life?” “Is that what the Lord is leading you to do?” “Have you heard from God?”
We are either chasing our own desires or we are chasing God’s desires for our lives. When we do our own things, we should not blame God for whatever happens to us. We cannot hold God responsible for the effects of our own actions. We must understand that.
God is not the author of confusion, He speaks and reveals things clearly. It’s our duty to make sure we hear Him well and to understand exactly what He wants us to do. The Holy Spirit is here to guide us. We won’t err, in Jesus name. Amen.
Prophetic Declaration
I was born to do the will of God and that is what I will do today and for the rest of my life. I no longer live for myself, I live to fulfill all of God’s plans and purposes for myself. Amen.
