“Give your complete attention to these matters. Throw yourself into your tasks so that everyone will see your progress.” – 1 Timothy 4:15 NLT
The more you look, the more you see. The more you see, the more you understand. And the more you understand, the more you are able to do. Then you are making progress.
Distraction limits or hinders progress. Distraction means that you are attracted to something else, other than what you should be focused on. Not everything should get your attention. You don’t have to be involved in everything to have a sense of fulfilment or value. Learn to mind your own business.
Paul talked about complete attention. Not 90% attention; 100%. Discover that thing that needs your complete attention. Yeah, because that’s the starting point. If you don’t know it, you could end up giving your attention to the wrong thing, and make progress on the wrong path. So, discover it; focus on it; devote yourself wholly to it; work hard at it; concentrate your energy on achieving it: soon your progress will be evident to all. You will excel, in Jesus name. Amen.
