Jesus was talking about the basic necessities of life; the things that we need – ‘What shall we eat?’, ‘What shall we drink?’, ‘What shall we wear?’. If we seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, we would never have to worry or even pray about those things.
But God we can also believe God for other things that we desire or want. Jesus said, “What things soever ye desire, when ye pray, believe that ye receive them, and ye shall have them.” Mark 11:24. “What things soever” means anything at all. If you dare to believe, you will receive.
Lack is not the portion of the children of God. If God provided for a whole nation of Israel in the wilderness for forty very long years, He can definitely provide all that we need. You have no business being poor! You can’t be chasing after the things of God passionately and not enjoy supernatural provisions. Make God’s business your business, and your business will become God’s business. And you know, whatever God is involved in will surely succeed. Amen.
