[pull_quote_center]”I have written to you, fathers, because you have known Him who is from the beginning. I have written to you, young men, because you are strong, and the word of God abides in you, and you have overcome the wicked one.” I John 2:14 NKJV[/pull_quote_center]
To overcome is to succeed in dealing with (a problem or difficulty). To overcome is to defeat (an opponent). To overcome is to overpower or overwhelm. Do you understand? When you have overcome something you don’t worry about it anymore! That’s why Jesus said, Be of good cheer, for I have overcome the world!
Brothers and sisters, we have already overcome the devil! Are you not aware that Jesus gave us the power to tread upon serpents, scorpions and over all the power of the devil, and that He said that nothing shall by any means hurt us? Listen to me, we are far above principalities and powers, and we are seated in Christ in heavenly places! Amen!
Hear me; Satan is not your problem, ignorance and fear are your problems. John wrote that to the young men: meaning that you don’t have to be a general overseer of the largest church in the world for you to exercise your authority over the devil. Whenever the enemy shows up, resist him and he will flee from you!
