[pull_quote_center]”As for the Jebusites, the inhabitants of Jerusalem, the children of Judah could not drive them out; but the Jebusites dwell with the children of Judah at Jerusalem to this day.” Joshua 15:63 NKJV[/pull_quote_center]
Here’s the instruction that God gave to the children of Israel: “When you have crossed the Jordan into the land of Canaan, then you shall drive out all the inhabitants of the land from before you, destroy all their engraved stones, destroy all their molded images, and demolish all their high places; you shall dispossess the inhabitants of the land and dwell in it, for I have given you the land to possess.” (Numbers 33:50-53)
Now, if God asked them to drive out all the inhabitants of the land, it meant that they could drive them all out; it meant that with God working for them, they could drive them all out; God’s word always comes with the ability to do whatever it says! But the Bible says that the Israelites could not drive out the Jebusites! Why? No, it’s not that they could not; they did not try enough! Maybe they relied on their own strength; for by strength shall no man prevail.
Brothers and sisters, you can do whatever God’s word says that you can do! It doesn’t matter how difficult it seems; it doesn’t matter how high that mountain is; it doesn’t matter how many they are; neither does it matter how strong and tough they might be: you can do all things through Christ who strengthens you! Hallelujah!
