The man Jesus healed at the pool of Bethesda suffered for thirty-eight years because he had no one to help him. But in Mark 2, we see a paralytic who had four people helping him, to the extent that they opened a roof just to get their friend healed. They were willing to do anything for him.
That’s the power of people. How many of the people in your life right now are willing to do anything for your sake, should you need their help? Some people are jobless but they know people who can give them jobs, but those people don’t even think about them.
If there are people in your life who can do anything for you, those are your true friends. We all need helpers and genuine friends, irrespective of our current levels of life. Start now to develop real friendships that can support you in need. A friend in need, they say, is a friend indeed.
