[pull_quote_center]”Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Mark 11:24 NKJV[/pull_quote_center]
A lot of us pray as if God is deaf. We pray, and pray, and pray, about the same thing, with greater intensity, as if God did not hear us the first time, or as if He is not willing to answer our prayers. I know that Jesus taught us to preserve in prayers, but there are basics we must not be ignorant of either.
First, Jesus let us know that the Father knows the things we have need of before we ask Him. Jesus also said, that everyone who asks receives, and he who seeks finds, and to him who knocks it will be opened. First, God knows what we need even before we pray, and answers to prayers has been guaranteed. “Terms and conditions apply”, of course. Now, here’s a classic example. Daniel prayed and fasted for three weeks, and on the twenty fourth day, an angel appeared to him and told him that his prayer was answered from the first day. In other words, the prayers and fastings for twenty three out of the twenty four days were unnecessary!
Do you understand? We must learn to live by faith. That brings us to Mark 11:24. Jesus said, “Therefore I say to you, whatever things you ask when you pray, believe that you receive them, and you will have them.” Here’s what Jesus said, “When you pray, stop acting as if God didn’t hear you, know immediately that He has heard you, and if you know that, act as if you truly know that He heard you! In other words, enter thanksgiving mode, and begin to see yourself in possession of what you asked for. When you do this, it won’t be long before it manifests in the physical!” Yes! Hallelujah!
