Here’s what was written about Rebekah: “And the damsel was very fair to look upon, a virgin, neither had any man known her.” Genesis 24:16. If another Bible is written in future, can such be written about us? Rebekah was very beautiful, yet she remained pure until marriage.
God expects everyone of us, both singles and married, to abstain from fleshly lusts. 2 Timothy 2:19 says, “Let every one that nameth the name of Christ depart from iniquity.”
Decide today, and be determined, to be an example for everyone else in purity. The past is past, and if you have confessed your sins to God He has forgiven you: but from today, you must do those things no more. Only a dog returns to its vomit. You are not a dog so don’t return to your old sins. Make God happy by living a holy life. Amen.
