It’s interesting that thousands of years since God spoke to Noah about not destroying the earth with water ever again, we still see the sign of the covenant, that is, the rainbow in the sky. It’s noteworthy especially in a world like ours where we seldomly honour agreements with each other.
When God makes a covenant with a man, it doesn’t expire when the man dies; if it’s a covenant meant to last for all generations, you can be very sure that it will last for all generations. Psalms 105:8-10 says, “He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac, and confirmed it to Jacob for a statute, to Israel as an everlasting covenant.” Hallelujah!
Are you aware that the covenants God made with Abraham, David and all the Israelites are nothing compared with the one He made with us in Christ? Hebrews 8:6 says that Christ is a Mediator of a better covenant, which was established on better promises. Wow! This new covenant guarantees our forgiveness, deliverance, peace, success, and salvation! Hallelujah!
