God is love. He is gracious and merciful, very quick to forgive. And that’s what we preach, and why we preach; that all men may experience His goodness and His love.
But there’s another reason why we preach the gospel: that those we love might be saved from the coming judgement and wrath of God. Let no one deceive you, dear brothers and sisters; it will not be easy for those who die in sin without Christ. Understand that the only reason the world is still existing today is because God wants as many people as possible to be saved. That’s why He keeps extending the time of the second coming of Christ! He’s not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance.
The good news is that those of us who have been born again have been delivered from the wrath to come! That’s clearly stated in 1 Thessalonians 1:10. Hallelujah! Romans 5:9 says, “Much more then, having now been justified by His blood, we shall be saved from wrath through Him.” Glory to God!
