[dropcap]A[/dropcap]nytime the world is shaken by news of a horrific terrorist attack on a major Western city like Paris, there are those among us – Christians and Muslims – who are quick to sell the theory that “this is a not about Islam or politics but about extremism”.
What these ‘liberal’ folks do is take the attention of the world away from dealing with the root cause of Islamist extremism and the terrorism it inspires, which are now, by far, the biggest problem the entire human race is facing.
These same folks are the ones that told the world when Boko Haram started in Nigeria that “the reason is because the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) impoverished Nigeria” and “the reason for this madness was because of poverty”. They held on to those fallacies till it was discovered that Boko Haram had spent billions of Naira buying ammunitions to wage a war against the Nigerian state and its people.

What did they do when the news that Boko Haram was well-funded terrorist operation, they moved on to another insane fallacy – “President Jonathan is sponsoring Boko Haram because he hates the North and wants to rule Nigeria forever”.
Please beware of folks who can’t muster the courage to speak the real truth on a matter “like their father, the devil”, but turn around and and offer incredulous apologist explanations aimed at distracting from the real problem.
This same band of ‘liberal moderates’ go ahead and try to give us useless history lessons like “in the 2nd century, the Jews and Christians used to be the terrorists’ – all in a bid to derail our focus and take us away from the real issues.
When you come across one these folks, and you will soon, do ask them which group or doctrine was responsible for the following terrorist attacks. You may add more of recent memory.
1. 9/11 Attacks on the World Trade Centre and Pentagon
2. 7/7 London bombings which killed 54 civilians and left 700 wounded
3. Kenya’s Garissa University Bombings
4. Boko Haram in Nigeria which has killed over 20,000 people in bombings, raids, beheadings, kidnappings, and untold carnage.
5. Taj Mahal bombings in India
6. Paris Metro and RER bombings
7. Charlie Hebdo killings in Paris
8. ISIS reign of murder and terror in the Middle East – thousands of killings leading to over 1 million refugees, and most recently;
9. Co-ordinated bombings, shootings, killings in Paris which left 128 dead (according to some accounts) and over 200 wounded.
