Yes, I am afraid. My advice is that President Muhammadu Buhari should stay at home, formulate a vibrate economic policy to revamp the Nigerian economy as President Obama did in his first term.
We have many talented people in Nigeria to help him rebuild the Nigerian economy. His frequent absence from the country, going abroad could give some adventure seeking soldiers an opportunity for coup. Let us not kid ourselves, the Nigeria armed forces have not grown out of coup mentality yet. RE: Their attitude and behavior towards the ‘the bloody civilians’.
As former military head of state, General Ibrahim Babangida once said, coups only succeed with the support of the masses. With the current disenchantment of Nigerians and their distrust of our current politician, such a coup could be supported by them to our collective detriment.
So, Mr President don’t give another opportunity for the destruction of our democracy and sending us back to square one. (Remember the coup against Gowon, and Nigeria is no better since then). Stay home for now Mr President until the change you promised is obvious, please.
The poor masses are too poor and hungry to understand if it happens. Please, please Mr President act wisely now. I am afraid.
I am not a journalist, I am writing from my heart. I am retired and want to come home and enjoy my retirement.
