#SoundOff: What Happened To Aisha Buhari’s Promise To Protect Child Brides?

Must read

[dropcap]I[/dropcap]magine this:

A 35-45 year old fully developed man takes on an 11-12 year old bride. Every night, he mounts her petite-sized body with his heavyweight body, and shoves his oversized manhood into her tiny waistline. Imagine an electric pole smashing into a small tea cup.

He goes into her slowly at first, and then jerks violently with every thrust. While he moans aloud and explodes in orgasmic pleasure, the poor girl lies beneath him writhing in pains, totally sore and bruised.

This is the life most child brides live. They cannot speak out. Aisha Muhammadu Buhari has assured of her preparedness to publicly advocate for legislation against child marriage. When will she match her words with action?

It’s time to end the long talk and take action. We are waiting. We will lend our support when the time comes.
