In a society where bigotry, ignorance, cult following is pervasive; reasoning, order and system are the natural casualties.
Deziani Alison-Madueke’s performance at the petroleum ministry was sterling.
Her local content policy drive was first in the history of Nigeria oil and gas public sector service. This was attested to by one of Buhari’s would be noisemakers, Ibe Kachukwu, a big player in the industry with an international exposure.
Alison-Madueke’s Petroleum Industry Bill (PIB) proposals would’ve changed the operations in that sector positively but it was resisted by local and international cabals and common sense should suggest that such person would’ve incurred the wrath of vested interests.
As at today, no evidence of corruption has been established against Alison-Madueke other than the bogus, ridiculous, senseless allegations being promoted by her detractors in the media.
So detractors should hold their peace until there is a proven evidence of corruption against Alison-Madueke.
What is even the moral basis of condemning Alison-Madueke if the same people that condemn Alison-Madueke are holding briefs for thieves whose crimes have been proven by circumstantial evidence?
