The size of a man’s ‘diddle doo’ or whatever you call it matters a whole lot, not just to him but to his partner for maximum sexual satisfaction.
Scientists have revealed the size of a man’s penis that would be considered as average, even though it might be disappointing to some folks and okay to some others.
The study could help to counsel men worried about their size, or with investigations into how condom failure relates to penis size and girth, according to Mail Online
Until now, speculations have continually trailed what constitutes the average-sized penis.
According to the scientists who delved into the study, the normal trouser snake length when erect is 5.2inches (13.12cm) and 3.6inches (9.16cm) when flaccid.
The average erect circumference is 4.6 inches (11.66 cm) and 3.7 inches (9.31 cm) when flaccid.
The British study was carried out to help clinicians dealing with anxiety disorder Body Dysmorphic Disorder (BDD).
More than 15,521 men had their genitals measured across 17 different studies.
Lead author, Dr David Veale from the Institute of Psychiatry, Psychology and Neuroscience (IoPPN), King’s College London and South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust said, “Men compare themselves in locker rooms and with pornography on the internet and believe they are inferior.”
Penis measuring guidelines on the NHS website read, “At some stage, most boys get out a ruler or a tape measure to find out how long their penis is.
“Dr Delvin says there’s little point in doing this when the penis is limp because the length of a flaccid penis can vary a lot, for example depending on how cold the room is.
“To get a precise measurement, do it when you have an erection. Take the measurement from the base of the penis on the side nearer to the tummy, up to the tip, where the hole is.”
It added, “Some men have been teased by sexual partners about their length.
“There are lots of men who might be worried – and we think reassuring men they are in the normal range will help
“We will also use the graphs to examine the discrepancy between what a man believes to be their position on the graph and their actual position, or what they think they should be.”
The research also found there was a small correlation between the erect length of a penis and the height of a man.
