#RIP: Slain Silverbird Female Staff Buried In Lagos

The late Silverbird Cinemas female employee, Aishat Noble-Mustapha, who was stabbed to death on Saturday, March 14, 2015 was on Wednesday, March 25, 2015 buried at the Atan Cemetery, Yaba, Lagos State.

The 26-year-old lady from Etsako-West, Auchi, Edo State, said to be about 4 months pregnant, was allegedly stabbed to death by her lover at her residence in Ogudu area of the state in the late hours of the fateful day shortly after she returned from work.

Friends and relatives all gathered T-shirts with her image to say a final goodbye to Noble-Mustapha as she journeys down the great beyond.

It was gathered that some students of the University of Lagos, Akoka, UNILAG were also present at the burial service as she was also a student of the institution before her death.

Police operatives have arrested some persons in connection with the gruesome murder of Noble-Mustapha who was the only surviving child of her parents.

Among them is a 21-year-old prime suspect who was found with the victim’s phone stained with blood.

Confirming the burial, her guardian, Mr. Abubakar Haruna, said, “Yes, we have buried her today. We did that in Lagos.”

Meanwhile, Vanguard reports said that an autopsy report has shown that the deceased was not pregnant as alleged but died from internal bleeding.

On his part, the state police image maker, DSP, Kenneth Nwosu, said although the victim had been buried, the case was not dead, adding that the police would give her family justice, said a Punch report.

He said,  “The victim has been buried, yes; but investigations into the circumstances surrounding her death continue. The case is not dead. The police will get justice for her family.”
