Mountain of Fire striker Sikiru Olatunbosun’s sensational goal against Rangers International last weekend has been creating a buzz on the internet.
The Supersport that made the video available calls it a goal from the heaven.
The CNN has listed it as one of its goals of the week, rating Olatunbosun up there with the stunning efforts of Roma’s Radja Nainggolan, Anderlecht’s Youri Tielemans, and Joey Jones of the mighty Woking FC.
In Givemesport reckoning, it is in the class of the goals scored by Arsenal’s Olivier Giroud and Manchester United’s Andy Carroll this season.

Football pundits are already saying that the goal is a candidate for FIFA Puskas award. At least the Mirror of London is rooting for it.
And coming from the Nigerian Professional Football League, makes the goal even more remarkable. ESPN says a goal like this will draw attention to the league, in terms of quality.
“For anyone with doubts about the quality of the Nigeria Professional Football League (NPFL), the last few rounds of matches would have gone a long way towards laying them to rest. The most recent fixtures in particular served up some of the best fare that Nigerian football has to offer, so much so that one goal even went viral”, writes ESPN
Mountain of Fire and Miracles FC striker Sikiru Olatunbosun was playing against Enugu Rangers on Friday night when he came up with a brilliant moment of inspiration.
The whole team had put together a well-worked move, with Stephen Odey passing the ball to Sikiru, who flicked it over the head of a Rangers defender and then banged it from outside the box, with his left foot, into the Rangers net. The Rangers keeper was of course caught napping.
Thierry Henry of Arsenal had scored from the same position against Manchester United in 2000, but his effort just did not match Olatunbosun’s goal.
