Former Minister of Niger Delta Affairs, Elder Godsday Orubebe on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 announced that he was leaving the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to join the All Progressives Congress (APC) via his Twitter handle.
The announcement was made via a Twitter handle that bears his name, @ElderGOrubebe.
Attempts by The Trent to independently verify the validity of the tweets has proven abortive as we suspect this to be an attempt by hackers who in recent times have taken over online profiles of PDP stalwarts in order to gain cheap political points.
It would be recalled that Orubebe caused a stir on Tuesday, March 31, 2015 when he disrupted the announcement of the results of the presidential election, calling for the replacement of Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) Chairman, Professor Attahiru Jega over allegations of bias.
