Islamic scholar, Sheikh Ahmad Gumi on Thursday, February 18, 2021 had a peace meeting with abductors of the staff and students of Government Science College, Kagara, Niger state.
According to a TVC report, Sheikh Gumi went into Tagina forest to meet with the abductors who killed one student during the attack in the wee hours of February 17.
Photos from the meeting show the bandits, led by their leader Dogo Gide, having talks with the Sheik while standing.
Gumi appealed to the bandits to give peace a chance.
The bandits abducted 27 students, 3 members of staff alongside 12 of their family members.
