Suspended FIFA President, Sepp Blatter has been discharged from the hospital where he was recently admitted after a minor health breakdown. This was confirmed by his spokesman, Klaus Stölhker.
“He had to stay a few days in hospital but now he is out, he is at home in Valais. He is very happy and he is relaxing a few days until the beginning of next week and then he will be back,” Stölhker told Reuters TV.
Last week, doctors ordered the 79-year-old to take time off work as a result of stress.
Stölhker also confirmed that Blatter who is embroiled in a corruption charge over £1.3m illegaly paid to Michel Platini and sale of World Cup TV rights to the former Caribbean football chief, Jack Warner will fight against the 90-day suspension he is currently serving.
“His most important message is that he is fully preparing himself to go ahead with his fight against his 90-day suspension. He is deeply convinced that the ethics commission cannot force him out,” Stölhker explained.
