Senator Elisha Abbo Distributes A Can Of Malt Drink To Each Youth Constituent [WATCH]

Must read

A few days after Elisha Abbo, a senator representing Adamawa North Senatorial District urged the people to hold their leaders accountable, a video has surfaced of him personally handing a can of malt drink each to youths in his constituency as empowerment.

In the video, Senator Abbo, who was seen with security personnel asked the youths to line up and be orderly if they wanted his gifts.

It is unclear where the video was recorded.

The senator had on January 11, 2020, called on Nigerians to hold their leaders accountable to their campaign promises during his visit to the border community of Mukta in Fali land of Mubi North in the state.

Senator Abbo stormed onto the national stage when a video emerged of him assaulting a woman, a nursing mother, in a sex toy shop in Abuja, the national capital. The video went viral after he had been sworn into office. The video was recorded in the shop’s security camera a month before he was sworn into office.

Following a nationwide outrage, Abbo turned himself in to the police. The senator was charged to a magistrate court for assault. The victim “travelled for her grandmother’s burial“, he was released on bail in August 2019. Months later, the police claimed to have found “additional evidence” to convict the senator.

He was trailed by a series of scandals soon after the sex toy assault video went viral. The father of his current live-in lover, Emily Eric, claimed that his daughter was underaged and that the senator “abducted” and continues to hold her captive.  The “wife” had expressed support for her husband on Facebook when the sex toy shop video went viral. “I stand with you, Babana,” she wrote.

Her Facebook message read, “I stand with you babana. And we will always stand for truth. My husband is innocent of what people are saying against him.”

Shortly after the sister of his wife, Nkechi granted an interview to Sun Newspaper in which she accused the senator of infecting her late sister with the HIV virus through a series of anal rapes. She said that Senator Abbo, prior to his political career, was a Muslim who converted to Christianity just to marry her sister. According to her, Abbo tortured her sister to death.

Records show that Senator Abbo is HIV positive. In 2004, he filed a lawsuit against the Nigerian Naval Training College in Rivers State for allegedly denying him admission because of his HIV status. In the lawsuit, his name was Cliff Elisha Ishaku. An entry on his Wikipedia page captured by Elomba Reports in July 2019, reads,

“On February 9th 2004, Mr. Cliff Elisha Ishaku has taken the authorities of the Nigerian Naval Training College, Onne, Port Harcourt to court for allegedly denying him admission into the college on the grounds of his health status despite passing the recruitment test

“In a legal action instituted on his behalf by the vice chairman of the Nigerian Bar Association, Abuja Chapter, Barrister Jude Okeke, at the Abuja Federal High Court, Ishaku is seeking among others, a declaration that his withdrawal from the School, by the Naval College and the Ministry of Defence on account of his testing positive to HIV virus is illegal, unlawful and breach of his fundamental right to personal dignity.”

Elisha Abbo was awarded a “Beacon of Hope” award by an obscure group, the Adamawa Celebrities and Achievers Awards, ACAA, which took place in Yola, Adamawa on Saturday, December 21, 2019.
