Jenny from da block might just become Jenny from da ‘cell’ block.
The sultry singer with the attention catching voice and booty, Jennifer Lopez, has enough (sexy) power to disrupt public order. Who knew!
J Lo as she is known to fans across the globe might be facing a maximum jail term of two years for her performance at the Mawazine World Rhythms International Music Festival held in Rabat, Morocco, on May 29, 2015.
Lopez was kitted for the performance in a body suit, bejeweled fishnet tights and stiletto boots. Her performance was broadcast live on state-owned channel 2M.
However, not quite everyone thought the performance was sizzling as an education group who obviously thought it was inappropriate has slammed the singer with a law suit for allegedly disturbing public order and tarnishing women’s honour and respect.
According to BBC reports, Abdelilah Benkirane, the Moroccan Prime Minister has also taken action in the matter by having the broadcast investigated. He termed the show as “sexually suggestive” and a “serious delinquency,” featuring “disgraceful scenes” that violated the nation’s audiovisual law.
He expressed shock that the network had broadcast Lopez’s performance knowing full well that it included scenes “with sexual overtones and which were indecent and provocative to the religious and moral values of Moroccan society.”
Benkirane is allegedly seeking “legal measures against those responsible.”
None of the singer’s representatives was available for comments on the situation.
