By now, everyone knows how very unusual it is for a Kardashian to cover up…much less her entire face. Well, Khloe Kardashian did it and still managed to cause controversy on social media all the way in Dubai.
The Keeping Up The Kardashians reality TV star posted a picture of herself wearing the traditional middle East female garb, niqab, on Instagram and the social media planet immediately agog with arguments. The arguments was based on whether or not she was disrespecting the tradition by wearing the niqab.
Khloe captioned the picture “habibi love.”
Some argued that she had no right to wear the attire as she was not a muslim and was insulting the niqab. They said rather than use it for what it was, Khloe had used it instead as a fashion statement.
While other fans were on her side. One particular fan defended the star saying; “its culturally appropriate cause its not a big deal that she is wearing one. Shes pretty mych saying “I accept muslims traditions.” Yet another fan told her to “wear whatever you like.”
