Seal Beams With Pride Over Son Henry’s Runway Debut at Paris Fashion Week

Must read

PARIS, France — Musician Seal is beaming with pride as his 19-year-old son, Henry Samuel, makes his runway debut at Paris Fashion Week.

The singer, known for hits like “Kiss From a Rose”, expressed joy at seeing his eldest son follow in the footsteps of his mother, supermodel Heidi Klum, and sister Leni Klum, 20.

Seal, 60, recalled the excitement and happiness on Henry’s face as he walked the runway at the Lena Erziak Haute Couture Spring-Summer 2025 Show on January 28, 2025.

“Watching him, or seeing him in those photos, having such a great time and looking like he was really enjoying the experience—that personally is what gave me great happiness,” he told E! News’ Francesca Amiker on February 5, 2025.

Supporting His Children’s Passions

Seal, who shares Henry, Johan (18), and Lou (15) with Klum, emphasised that he supports whatever career path his children choose, as long as they are happy.

“If he was tomorrow to wake up and say, ‘Dad, you know, I just want to make this town better and go out and sweep the streets, because that’s where my passion is right now,’ I’d be waking up each morning just to watch the smile on his face when he does that,” he said.

He added that his only advice as a parent is for his children to find what they truly love—whether it’s fashion, music, business, or something else entirely.

“When you find it, you’ll know, because you will love it,” he said. “You will feel compelled to do it.”

Reflecting on His Own Journey

Seal also looked back on his own struggles at 19, recalling that, although he had a voice and a love for music, he had not yet fully found his purpose.

“I don’t know if you are supposed to find it at 19,” he admitted.

Of course, he went on to find massive success in the ‘90s, with songs like “Crazy” and “Kiss From a Rose”, the latter earning him three Grammy Awards and securing his legacy in music history.

Super Bowl Spotlight: “Kiss From a Lime”

Seal’s signature hit has taken on a comedic twist in PepsiCo’s Super Bowl 2025 commercial for Mountain Dew Baja Blast’s new Tropical Lime flavour.

The ad, directed by Taika Waititi, features Seal depicted as an actual seal, performing a parody version of “Kiss From a Rose” for Becky G and her crew.

Reflecting on the experience, he marvelled at the song’s lasting impact:

“I don’t know what I was thinking at the time when I wrote it,” he joked. “But right now, it’s been rewritten, and it’s got comedic words that make people laugh.”

“Comedy and humour and music are the two greatest elixirs,” he added. “I’m just happy to be able to do that.”

With his son embarking on his own path and his music finding new life in pop culture, Seal remains a proud father and an enduring musical icon.
