The Kano State Emirate Council has suspended celebration for the coronation of Sanusi Lamido as the Emir of Kano, Thisday reports,
An insider at the palace told the tabloid that “of course the coronation was suspended and it is in relation with arrangement which is going to be historic. The source revealed that “really, the issue of security challenges is also something to work on and ensure the peaceful celebration but I knew that soon the occasion time will be announced”.
The coronation which was supposed to take place before the celebration of Eid-el-Kabir was cancelled for reasons best known to the organisers.
Attempts to reach the emirate council for official comment yielded no result.
