A sad and tragic incident happened on Wednesday, February 11, 2015 around 7pm in Asaba, Delta state when a Power Holding Company of Nigeria (PHCN) staff got electrocuted to death.
According to eyewitnesses, the unidentified man went up the electric pole without wearing his gloves to fix an electrical problem for his client. He accidentally came in contact with a live unit and received an electric shock.
The passersby who noticed the victim on shaking on the pole, quickly rushed to the scene. By the time they had reached the victim, he had already fallen down from the high tension wire and died.
People who knew the victim said he was suppose to get married wedding next week.
