A lecturer of the University of Nigeria (UNN), Enugu Campus, Chief Cletus Opata, has committed suicide.
The lecturer at the institution’s Law Faculty committed suicide last weekend for reasons yet to be ascertained.
The lecturer who was until his death, the son of a former Commissioner in the old Anambra state, Chief Cletus Opata hailed from Nsukka area of Enugu state.
Informed sources at the university said the deceased had taken his life in his apartment within the town on Saturday night but his body was discovered on Sunday.
The 38-year old Opata who held a Doctorate Degree in Law was said to have been employed as a lecturer in the university in 2011.
